Editing an Adobe Signed PDF

Once a user electronically signs a document. It becomes completely locked down from any changes via Adobe Security. There are times when we need to add to a signed PDF.

Note: Adding to a signed PDF removes the security encryption of the signature, please keep a copy of the original unedited encrypted signed PDF if needed in the future.

1. Access the signed PDF via Adobe Acrobat for desktop.

2. Click the Convert tab at the top of the page.

3. Export the signed PDF to Microsoft Word (.wordx)

4. In Word edit the file as needed. It may be necessary to add Text Boxes to the document to ensure the formatting stays consistent.

5. Save a copy of the newly edited file in Word as a PDF file type.
